About Slytherin: We are a new guild were all members will eventually be promoted to officer (once they have agreed to the CoC). This policy will allow for all members to invite new member into the guild, and prevents unfair/random kicking of members. This also allows for more people to be able to start a guild battle, as we are a PvE guild and our ladder rank does not matter. A Council will be formed to help make major choices for the guild.

Slytherin is part of the Kurzick Alliance. We do not require faction farming (again, PvE not PvP)

Slytherin is part of the Hogwarts Alliance. [HSWW] stands for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Below is a rough draft of the CoC, our website is under construction. As soon as the site is up all members will be expected to sign (post under) the CoC.

1. NO CHEATING

* No HSWW Guild member will cheat, store cheats (even for evaluation or learning purposes) or associate with
cheaters.

* If a member is suspected cheating he or she will be subject to an intense investigation by the Guild Officers and
upon proof will be dismissed immediately.

2. NO SCAMMING

* No HSWW Guild member will at any time, for any reason, scam any other player out of money, or any other
conceivably valuable items.

* HSWW Guild members discovered to be scamming other players (i.e. not paying for runs, intentionally
overcharging for lesser quality items, etc.) will be warned and possibly dismissed from the Guild without notice.

3. PARTICIPATION

* You are strongly urged to use teamspeak. It is advised to be on teamspeak when grouping with HSWW Guild
members for PvP, GvG, and/or PvE.

* All HSWW Guild members should be ready and willing to learn at all times no matter their perceived or true skill
level.

4. FRIENDSHIP AND REAL LIFE

* HSWW Guild is, primarily, a group of friends.

* A guild exists for players to benefit from each other. It is expected that if another member needs help that you
should go and help them if you are available.

* If an issue can be resolved on a reasonable and friendly basis it will be.

* If a HSWW Guild member requests that information relayed to a Guild Officer remain confidential to other members
it will be. If the officer feels it is necessary to share the information with other officers it will be cleared with the
member prior to sharing with the other officers.

* Public humiliation is not the way of the HSWW Guild. If a player dislikes the way they are being treated,
regardless of the assaulting player's intentions, the assaulting player will discontinue his or her behavior
immediately or risk being removed from the Guild altogether.

* HSWW Guild accepts all real life needs and commitments. HSWW Guild will not put any member into a decision
between real life success and the HSWW Guild.

* If a member decides to leave HSWW Guild, for whatever reason, the decision will be upheld and not questioned.
However, as a courtesy, please let us know on the forums. In the event he or she asks to return to the guild,
their past kinship will be taken into consideration.

5. COUNCIL POSITIONS

* Council positions will be handed out based on the following principles:
o Dedication to the guild, members and council
o Leadership abilities
o Attendance
o Conduct
o Teamwork

6. CONDUCT

* HSWW Guild members will respect each other regardless of their position, rank, origin, nationality, age, gender,
race, religious beliefs or creed.

* HSWW Guild members respect Non-HSWW Guild personnel in the same way as HSWW Guild members.

* Moderate, but not excessive, swearing is allowed, but racial, ethnic, or religious slurs will not be tolerated.

* Sportsman like behavior is mandatory.

* Always remember: Out there, a HSWW Guild member is not perceived as an individual but as a HSWW Guild
representative. Your conduct will determine how people perceive our guild.

7. ALLEGIANCE

* While it is allowed to participate in a GvG battle with another guild, a HSWW Guild member shall not discuss or in
any way disclose HSWW Guilds' PVP builds, strategies, strengths, or weaknesses.

8. PRIVACY

* All data that HSWW Guild is storing about a HSWW Guild member will be kept secure even in the event that the
member decides to leave HSWW Guild.

* All data HSWW Guild submits to a member is to be kept secured and not accessible to any other person unless
the data is explicitly declared public. This especially includes server IPs and passwords, other members' private
email addresses and data that are protected from public access by passwords.

* HSWW Guild members are allowed to converse with game adversaries. However, informing the adversary about
HSWW Guild's tactical plan, strengths and weaknesses is considered an act of treason and will lead to your
removal from HSWW Guild.
